All of the SSI Specialty Courses have been completely updated, with a brand new SSI Student Manuel and DVD for the Search & Recovery Specialty as well as Digital Underwater Photography. The Spanish versions of these updated materials are being phased in during the coming months as the translations are completed.

For those divers looking for some Xtreme Action……… SSI's new TechXR programs were created for the hardcore diver, someone who believes in pushing the limits and lives for the ultimate diving experience. The Student materials are currently available in Spanish as well, with the Instructor materials available very soon.

For the past 7 years, we've offered you the fastest, most convenient Online SSI Student Diver Certification Processing available in the industry. Nothing about speed or convenience of processing will change, but BIG EXCITING CHANGES are coming to SSI C-Card Processing! SSI International is launching a new on-line system called ODiN……..Online Divers Network, and SSI Latin America will be one of the first International Regional Centers to switch over to the new system. Some of the benefits will include Automated Certification Card Printing. Dealers enter data and photos into the system. Next, ODiN automatically does all the standard checks: Active instructor? Affiliated with the shop? Insured? Certified to teach the course? Once the certification passes all checks, the data packet is sent to our servers and the student card is automatically printed! This streamlines an already super fast process, and completely removes the chance for errors sometimes made when data is re-entered by our offices! Perhaps the best feature ODiN offers is connecting SSI Dealers, Instructors, Divers and Regions with a database available for 24x7 Certification Verification. Dealers can verify certification cards issued by any Regional Center on the planet, 24 hours a day and seven days a week. Dealer and dive leaders can even maintain their own addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses! Even SSI Divers will be able to view their certification information online and make certain updates to their data!! The new ODiN System will truly unite SSI as an International entity of divers, dealers and dive leaders who just want Serious Diving and Serious Fun!

As will all new applications, there will be a period of transition, training and upgrades. We hope to make this period as simple a process as we can, and we plan to work with the software designers to translate, customize and perfect the site to meet the needs of SSI Latin America's market. This will take some time, so we will keep you updated by email on the progress and we ask for your patience during this time of transition. We do not anticipate any interruption of card processing at all. Rest assured that the service you've come to expect will not change, it will just improve!
